Today Jade decided to do up her profile. It asked her gender, and then her location. Yasmin said (while looking at her own laptop) "your bedroom" which made Jade burst out laughing! She became hysterical and asked if Yasmin had watched her type it, which she hadn't, because Jade had just put "My bedroom" as her answer!!
After spending so much time with someone, you start living inside their head!! Seeing as we have nothing else in there =)
Just a quick post to say I am so happy to hear that there is going to be a Paddington bear movie! It was announced in September but I have only just heard about it!
I grew up loving the marmalade eating bear (I even named my cat after him) and after 50 years it’s about time he graced the big screen! One of the producers is the man behind the harry potter movie David Heyman, I hope he makes Paddington as big as Harry Potter is! It should be coming to cinema in 2010 and I for one can’t wait!
The new Star Trek movie surprised me. I was expecting a boring re-telling of all the same stories but to my surprise it turned out to be one of the best movies to come out this year.
Star Trek (2009) is the story of how James T Kirk, the 20 something trouble-making, womanizer turns into the Captain of the Enterprise. And what happens in between can blow your socks off. There are two black holes, numerous fist/gun fights, lots of running around, time travel and some brilliant one linners. If you want to read the full summary then check it out here
I was not really a fan of the original TV series so you can’t say I am writing this as a hard core Trekkie, but I am writing this as a hard core movie fan and star trek did not disappoint me. The whole film has a great mix of humour, action and amazing visual effect but the thing that out-shines all of these is the level of acting in the movie. Most of the actors are relatively unknown but they all bring their own spin on a very old and out-dated character.
Chris Pine (that guy from Princess Diaries 2 and just my luck) and Zachary Quinto (Syler from heroes) play Kirk and Spock and I don’t think they could have found better actors. Chris manages to make you laugh out loud and then feel sorry for him in a split second, and somehow even though Spock shows no emotion Zach can make you feel the same way Spock does. These two actors are one of the main reasons why Star trek is such a massive hit.
Star Trek should not be seen as a geeky film that only people who have seen all the films and read all the comics will understand, but because there is time travel involved everything that has happened in those is pretty irrelevant!
I know it is a little late to go and watch it in the cinema but the DVD comes out on November 17th so why not borrow it from blockbusters and see what you are missing out on. Even if you don’t like enjoy it as much as I do it is worth watching for the great CGI and Simon Pegg with a pretty bad Scottish accent!

P.S even if you have no interest in watching the film it is worth watching the Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine interviews on youtube.com because they are very funny together.
My boyfriend recently got me to watch a documentary on marijuana called "The Union: The business behind getting high."
I think I ought to mention it here and get a few more people (although that's being a little optimistic - who actually reads this blog?) to atleast consider watching it too.
Even if you have no interest in taking drugs, now or ever, it still raises a lot of questions which everybody should think about.
The documentary tackles the myths and so called "dangerous" side-effects of the drug, and shows us the truth. For example, it explains to us the truth behind the "fact" that marijuana kills brain cells, and how that study was conducted, and also how many people actually (DON'T) die from marijuana intake.
There's also demonstrations of what the drug can do medically, and how a plant of the same kind, although also illegal to grow, can create clothing, food, and even run cars!
It also has a lot of references to alcohol and compares the real dangers of the legal drug and the illegal drug.
So watch and you tell me - which should be illegal?
I was going to steer clear of big brother because it is very complicated if you haven’t seen it but this has to be said……

If you don’t watch it then let me give you the short version of events that have happened over the past 7 weeks. There is this beautiful girl called Noirin who is a very sweet, nice, single girl. First off one of the housemates, Sree, Became completely obsessed with her. Noirin thought because he had no experience with woman he was just being friendly and didn’t see that he was ‘in love with her’. After she told him she didn’t see him ‘that way’ he turned on her. He was then evicted from the house and Noirin was free. For about 1 day. She had befriended Marcus, who looks a lot like wolverine (and not in a good way!), before the whole thing with Sree and they became close friends after he left. But Marcus wanted to be more, even though the rest of the house told him he was being delusional! After Noirin found out Marcus wanted to be more then friends she told him she wanted to be his friend. And only his friend. But Marcus just can’t take no for an answer! So when Noirin starts having feelings for other housemates somehow she turns out to be the bad person in the public eyes!

Whenever she wants to talk to the others she feels bad for not spending more time with him. Or Marcus will tell her that the others don’t want to be her friend they are just playing a game, which they clearly are not! But because they have been friends the whole time Marcus seems to have a hold on Noirin which is ruining her time in the house.

So, two nights ago Noirin kissed Siavash, because they both had feelings for each other so surely there should be nothing wrong with that? Guess again! Noirin told Marcus that she likes Siavash and they kissed but they are not going to act on their feelings until after the show is finished. After Noirin basically apologised to Marcus (still don’t understand why!) he then told her he won’t be talking to her the next day!
It’s not Noirin's fault she doesn’t like Marcus. And it is also not Noirin’s fault she doesn’t know who she fancies and who is her friend but who doesn’t go through that at some point? But all of this causes people to see Noirin as not a nice person because all these guys are falling for her! She doesn’t make them fall for her she is just nice to them! Personally I think all the viewers who don’t like her are just jealous of her, and I feel sorry for her because she is going to get evicted and booed a lot and told that she led all these men when all she has done is try and be everyone’s friend.

Instead of using the letter of the alphabet on the keys, it has brand logos, and obviously which key it should be corresponds with the first letter of the brand's logo - ie T for Twitter!

What do you think? I find it a little strange - a bit like those symbol/wingding fonts! Imagine writing your name (or anything!) with logos instead of the usual alphabet? Or just trying to type! I suppose it's not so bad if you can touch type - you would know where the keys are - but wouldn't it be tricky for those that need to look at the keyboard?
As Yasmin said below I am now joining her on this blog, and this is my first official post! I'm sure all I will end up talking about is movie/TV shows and music but I can type lots about it! I will write a proper post with a purpose soon but this is just more of my introduction of myself (that made more sense in my head!)
We did want to do a "vlog" on youtube but that's just annoying to work out what to do... So Jade said why not do a normal blog.. To which I said we can share this one!
